The Executive of the Association consists of the Officers of the Committee, who are student members. We’re always looking for enthusiastic people to get involved in running CUCA. If you want to know more, please ask an officer at any meeting, or send an email to chairman@cuca.org.uk.

Senior and Honorary Officers

The Association has Honorary Officers comprising a President, any number of Patrons and up to 20 Vice-Presidents. These offices must be held by people of distinction who are supporters of the Conservative cause. The Senior Treasurer is a member of the House of Regents of the University.

President
The Rt Hon The Lord Howard of Lympne  

Former Home Secretary and Leader of the Party 2003-05. Lord Howard is a graduate of Peterhouse and whilst at the University was both Secretary of CUCA and President of the Cambridge Union Society.

Vice-President
The Rt. Hon. Andrew Mitchell MP  

Formerly Government Chief Whip and Secretary of State for International Development. Mr Mitchell is a graduate of Jesus College. Whilst at Cambridge, he served as Chairman of CUCA as well as President of the Union.

Senior Treasurer
Dr Nigel Allington of Downing College  

The Senior Treasurer, a senior member of the University, is responsible for overseeing the activities and supervising the accounts of the Association’s accounts. Dr Allington is an affiliated lecturer in the department of land economy.

Chairman
Katie Lam, Trinity College  

The Chairman is responsible for the overall running of the Association and organisation of events for the period of their office. They are the public face of the society.

The Chairman-Elect assists the Chairman in their duties and prepares for taking over the role of Chairman the following term.

Junior Treasurer
Michael Dunn Goekjian, Trinity College  

The JT, under the supervision of the Senior Treasurer, is responsible for the financial affairs of the Association.

Campaigns Officer
James Mottram, Selwyn College  

The Campaigns Officer organises campaigns and events which promote any cause of the Conservative Party.
