Welcome to CUCA!
The Cambridge University Conservative Association has been around for almost 100 years. Over those decades – from year to year – the character of CUCA has evolved and shifted with keen Conservatives, future MPs and those just interested in politics and meeting like-minded people passing through its doors.
Today, CUCA strives to fulfil three goals:
1. To be a mouthpiece for Cambridge students’ views in the Conservative Party
2. To communicate the Conservative Party’s policies to students in Cambridge
3. To bring those interested in politics – be they of the Right or Left – together for political and social events

CUCA has a proud history of furthering Conservatism in Cambridge and of producing first tier politicians with Kenneth Clarke, Douglas Hurd, Norman Fowler and Andrew Mitchell amongst its former chairmen. But it’s not all about aspiring politicians! CUCA simply provides a great forum for people to come together and talk.
This Easter offers a variety of speaker, social and policy events, as well as political campaigns in the run-up to the local election and social action days; have a look at the CUCA Termcard – Easter 2013 and we hope you’ll find something you like. Easter term also sees the two greatest socials of CUCA’s year: the Midsummer Ball and the Garden Party, so make sure you get your tickets soon so you don’t miss out!
CUCA welcomes the diverse nature of Conservatism and is ready to engage with views across the political spectrum, so whether you are of a Conservative persuasion or are merely inquisitive and interested in political affairs, I look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful range of events.

Chairman, Easter 2013
