Welcome to CUCA!
The Cambridge University Conservative Association has been around for almost 100 years. Over those decades CUCA has served as a forum for those interested in conservative politics to meet like-minded people, hear thought-provoking speakers and deepen their understanding.
Today, CUCA still strives to bring those interested in politics – be they of the Right or Left – together for political and social events, and to represent conservative thought on the political scene of the University.
CUCA has a proud history of furthering conservatism in Cambridge and of producing first tier politicians with Kenneth Clarke, Douglas Hurd, Norman Fowler and Andrew Mitchell amongst its former chairmen; in recent years we have played host to such influential and thought-provoking speakers as Norman Tebbit, Roger Scruton, Nigel Farage and Eric Pickles
The array of events and speakers for Michaelmas Term will be released shortly and will continue CUCA’s tradition of welcoming the diverse nature of Right-wing politics and promoting the noble values of good fare and good company. As ever we are happy to engage with views across the political spectrum, so whether you are of a Conservative persuasion or are merely inquisitive and interested in political affairs, I look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful range of events.
