At a Special General Meeting held at Sunday’s Port and Cheese Party, the following motions were adopted:
1) Motion submitted by J. Sharpe of Fitzwilliam College
Any Vice-Chairman elected prior to Lent 2009 shall be allowed to run for that office again as long as they fulfil all other eligibility criteria. And, for the elections held in Lent 2009, a Chairman shall also be elected. The changes below shall only become enacted at 10pm on Friday 27th February.
Motion to amend sections 3.6, 5.1, and 5.6(e):
3.6 The Vice-Chairman shall take over the role of the Chairman when necessary. He is responsible for the preparation of the programme of the Association for the term following his period of office. The Vice-Chairman shall automatically become Chairman for the term following his period of office.
5.1 Elections shall be held before every TGM for elected membership of the Committee, and for Executive Officers other than those of Chairman, Junior Treasurer and Campaigns Officer.
5.6 (e) has, if currently serving as Secretary *or Vice-Chairman* lodged with the Returning Officers copies of all correspondence entered into on behalf of the Association during that term of office; and

Motion to amend section 3.10:
The Registrar shall keep accurate and fair records of the membership of the Association and attendance at meeting of the Association. The Registrar shall also be responsible for arranging for the distribution of the literature and notice to the members of the Association. The Registrar shall also be responsible for the raising of money to fund the Association’s activities.
Please be aware, therefore, that anyone nominated to serve as Vice Chairman in Easter 2009 is hence nominated to serve as Chairman in Michaelmas 2009.
